We were so lucky to be able to have ALL of my family come to Lincoln for Thanksgiving. Because of Guy's school schedule and finals being so close to the holidays, we haven't ever been able to travel for Thanksgiving, but have been lucky to have family come and visit us! Last year we had Guy's brother Grant come visit, and this year my whole family made the trip from California and Colorado. We also had the chance to bless Erik over the holiday weekend, but I'll make that a post of it's own.
Everybody got to meet Erik for the first time, and the little man did not disappoint.
My mom flew in first and got in a day with the kiddos all to herself....Grandma's deserve a day with no competition for baby time right? My sisters, brother in law Dave, and Courtney's boyfriend Dean all drove in late Wednesday night. My dad and Rebeca didn't get here until Friday, so we decided to have our thanksgiving dinner on Saturday so that everyone could be there. We had a lot of fun just hanging out, eating, snacking, and mostly playing with the kiddos. We had a great dinner on Saturday and of course we had our traditional biscuits and eggs, with Wyoming honey for breakfast, it was delicious.
I'm so grateful that everyone was willing to travel to see us and spend the holidays with us! It is difficult traveling with kids, and with finals just around the corner we wouldn't have been able to see anyone had they not made the trip. Thank you so much for coming everyone - it meant so much to me!!
I think everybody enjoyed seeing the kids and once they passed around the M&M's and got in good with Emery she was everybody's best friend :)
