3 months :)

Well I realize that I just posted her update for 2 months (which goes to show how bad I am at this blogging thing) because Emery just hit her 3 month mark yesterday! She is getting so big and we are having so much fun with her! I didn't get to blog yesterday because baby girl wasn't feeling very well so we spent all day snuggling (between the fussing and getting spit up on that is). She is feeling MUCH better today and we are soooo glad.

Not very many updates to report here. As you can see in the first picture she has her Daddy's blue eyes and I think they keep getting bluer and bluer and time goes on. Emery has started to grab at things and it always surprises her when she gets a hold of a rattle that makes lots of noise. She is still rolling over, but has decided she actually likes tummy time now that she can look around and see what is going on. She drools constantly and I'm debating putting a bib on her 24/7 because of it. She is super curious about everything that is going on around her - some days I'd like to know what she is thinking. She usually sleeps about 6 hours, wakes up to eat, then goes back down for another 4-6 hours, as far as that goes Mom and Dad have it pretty good. I usually wake up feeling pretty well rested. Oh! Emery laughed today! This is probably my favorite thing she has done so far - we were just talking and cooing and chatting and making noises when all the sudden she started giggling at one of the noises I made...I kept making it and that got her really giggling. It was sooo cute! She likes to be involved in everything and is happy to sit on your lap while you eat, watch tv, play cards, and just about anything else as long as she doesn't feel left out. We love you Emery!

Milestones!!!

Emery is growing up soooooo fast! Her stats at her 2 month check up were as follows:

Height: 22 1/2 inches - 44% percentile

Weight: 13.2 pounds!! - 91% percentile

Head Circumference - 87% percentile

Her height is lacking a little but look at her mother right? We have confidence that she will beat the odds and someday break 5 feet :)

Poor baby also had to get four shots!! She did very well though and only cried for a few seconds. Later on that day was a little rough, but after some snuggling and Tylenol we all made it through the day. 

New Milestone: July 10, 2012 Emery rolled over for the first time!

It practically happened overnight because she has really hated tummy time and she would always just bury her head in the ground until we rolled her back over to her back. Yesterday we put her on her stomach and out of nowhere she started holding her head up, propping herself up on her elbows to look around, and rolling over! I think it shocked Emery as much as it shocked Guy and I when she did it the first time. Now she is a total champ and will roll over nearly every time she is on her tummy. I can't believe how fast she is growing up! She is so big and has so much personality!!!

She continues to be the greatest blessing and it is so awesome to watch her learn new things. She has adjusted well to our new home in Nebraska and loves sleeping in her crib..FINALLY! Thanks Amie, Poppa, and Uncle Grant for helping us get moved in. I will post about the big move in a week or so when our furniture it delivered so we will actually have some pictures to post. :)
